A discovery Bible Study (DBS) is a simple tool to use when reading the bible with...anyone. It uses discovery as a method of learning.

When you meet with people, ask each other:

1. What are you thankful for?
2. What has challenged or stressed you out?
3. Is there anything this group can do to help?

Then we usually we take a moment to ask each other whether we did what we said we'd do last week and did we share with who we said we'd share with?

Can you remember the passage we looked at last week? Try and retell it?

Read the new bible passage in different versions and retell the passage together using your own words and ask:

4. What does this passage tell me about God or Jesus?
5. What does this passage tell me about people?
6. If this is really God's word, what am I going to do in response?
7. Who am I going to share this passage with?

Our GCC DBS Bookmark can be found here, along with a x5 print out here.

The Discover Bible app is really useful for helping to lead other through a 'story set' (a series) of bible passages.

21 Days to become a Disciple Maker

Simply put, a disciple maker is someone who lives out disciple-making habits daily: praying for disciples, engaging with potential disciples, meeting with those you are discipling, and ultimately, producing disciple makers!

Discovery Bible Studies are fantastic at helping children and young people hear and obey God's voice. We're finding that helping them through the process with simple use of colour really helps.
