Going again…

Jesus said, “go” (Matthew 28). Often, we’ve interpreted that as ‘going to another place' as a missionary.
But that’s not really the nub of the passage. When Jesus said “go”, he said it to the doubters and the worshippers, to each individual present, to each Christian through the ages, he said it to me, and he said to you.
“Go and make disciples”
Going isn’t about heading to a new location, although sometimes it is, it’s about going where the Holy Spirit leads a believer, in the everyday routines of life, to make disciples of Jesus. Going isn’t supposed to be something different for the believer, it’s a way of life. Making disciples isn’t a bolt-on or a new fad, or even a new model, it’s the ancient ways in which Jesus grows his church through everyday believers making disciples of the people around them.
As we head back into September we’re going again.
- Going again with making disciples of Jesus using simple, repeatable ways.
- Going again with asking Jesus, “what do you want me to do today?”
- Going again with sharing stories of Jesus with people around us.
- Going again with responding to scripture with obedience.
- Going again with training people to make disciples.
- Going again with having spiritual conversations with people…all the time.
- Going again…
What does your September look like?

Faithfulness is Success
One key lesson we’ve learned is that faithfulness is success. Gary Galanos, our disciple-making coach, often reminds us that we aren’t responsible for the outcomes, only for being faithful to what God has called us to do.

How to start a group
A friend and coach who lives in Türkiye and has seen multiple groups start tells us that seeing a group start is always a miracle.

Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy
I recently had the incredible privilege of visiting Antakya, a beautiful city in the South of Turkiye that was among the worst affected by the recent earthquakes in February. It’s been hard to know what to share since I have returned.
